Great Tip for Strip Piecing!!!!!!

Hi here is an neat tip for strip piecing from My Friend Bonnie Hunter. I say my friend because I met her, had a day class with her and also follow her closer than any other Quilter . She is just a COOL LADY !!!!! I love her ideas, her personality. She is just a down to earth gal and I guess that's why I like her along with her amazing talent. You feel immediately comfortable and not at all intimidated by her presence. She is so much fun also .She also has a webcam on usually  Monday-Tuesday nights while she quilts or sews quilts.so....... check her site to see what time usually 8-9 .you love her as much as I do. she has a way to organize fabric and it was my first introduction to her.http://quiltville.blogspot.ca/2012/09/amazingly-smart.html

I saw a 7 shirt quilt on her blog or introduced to it from her I'm not sure at this point any more It is Nancy Rose's pattern . I now collect Mens' shirts for fabric. It's so much cheaper and sometimes some cool fabric.I always use 100% cotton.Nancy Rose  has a "7 shirt quilt "our Guild Maple Leaf Quilters in Goshen ,In. made on a Saturday about 3 yrs ago. here is her blog for the pattern you'll love it http://thethriftyquilter.blogspot.ca/2009/06/seven-shirts-seven-steps-one-thrifty.html I need to say this because I made a mistake and the author of the pattern is NOT Bonnie Hunter. I do believe she uses the idea but Nancy Rose is the one who implemented this idea.  Thanks Nancy for the correction......It's so cool. It's a really cheap way to make a quilt for a guy, a veteran,or anyone for a quick project.

I am working on my Fabric Quiet book its coming to a finish, I finally have the little things to complete the cute little touches.I will post them probably tomorrow when I get some more done.

7 shirt quilt

leave the labels on they add some personality !!!.

The light color is yellow. Its bright and would make a nice quilt for the vets coming home!!!!!

Memorial Day..... Our Vets, Our Heros http://heroesonthewater.org/home

Well today is one I always remember I am a daughter of a w w 2 vet. He was one of those men who was just so amazing He was blinded on July 4th in France at the tender age of 23  .He was a Forward Observer on the front lines. He had a shell explode in his face and lost his eyes. He went to rehab in England at Saint Dunstis .I believe ,I hope I got that right for the spelling. He said he wasn't so bad off there were guys who lost there hearing and eyes or legs .Geesh what an out look  he had but he had some rough spots but never let it beat him down. He did almost everything a sighted person did. He gardened, canned food, did electrical working in his  home that the Amish built  He ran a saw and built a cabin with Knotty pine paneling , at a lake to fish. Oh Yes he  also did that too!!!! He  showed me how to do a lot of things in my life. Dad I'm so proud of you and miss you so much .You are my HERO always and forever. Wish I could go fishing with you .We had many fun times at the lake.!!!!  Like the time I tried to play at being a blind  person and walked off the end of the pier with a blindfold on and fell in the lake with my cousin ........I LOVE YOU !!!!

I am so proud of you as a wonderful Father to me ,a man and a veteran who served his country and the government sometimes forgot. But others didn't and never will .We miss you .Shine on My Army Father Shine on !!!!!!!!!!!!! when you go to the link for this site next here you'll have to scroll down and click off my music so you can hear the video.Im sorry that is the only way I know how to stop it for you to enjoy the website Thanks

Here is a site I found thru a friend .It is really cool so check it out It helps vets to enjoy fishing the rather"disabled" ones   .http://heroesonthewater.org/home nice fishing site also .A more happy way to end my blog posting for to-nite. So to all you who have served our country ....God Bless you for all you have done...... all that you are and all that you have given of yourselves so that we are free to enjoy everyday.Thank You so much!!!!!

Please say some prayers for all the Oklahoma Tornado  people who have lost so much. God bless you all  !!!!

Brenda Papadakis of Dear Jane Quilt ,Linda Franz, Quiet book "paper dolls "

Hi everyone,
Today is  a sad time for Brenda Papadakis as her husband passed away this week. She is such a dear gal. You that know her know what she has given us a treasure of "THE QUILT" known as "Dear Jane". She also has the quilt pattern book known as Dear Hannah.  Her work and research has brought so much happiness and led to masses of friendships, gatherings and such creativity for the quilt world .We owe so much to her. Please remember her in your prayers this week and if you know her send her a card. I have had the chance to meet her several times and hear her speak. I also have had the opportunity to be a part of the Dear Jane retreat with her there in Shipshewana ,Indiana  she is so much fun and has so much talent also.  I had the honor of sitting with her at the Dear Jane retreat week in 2009 maybe ? I have 25 blocks done out of 225  Quilt .I have quite ways to go for sure .....I'm doing my Dear Jane Quilt in Batiks.
God bless  you Brenda !!!! .Our prayers and love are with you !!!!!

At that retreat several years ago maybe 2006 was Linda Franz. I was next to her when she got a call that her  product "Inklingo" was approved for publication. That is a moment to remember when a artist has her work approved for publication. In case you haven't heard of that she has a computer program that allows you to print on the back of fabric run through the printer. Then you can hand piece your fabric after cutting it out already printed on the fabric for you so cool.It makes such a precise project because of that.you have hexies, diamonds etc.  she has several programs now to use this way it's pretty neat so check it out. She also has Quilted Diamonds 1 & 2. and others.... Really cool publications.  You can just Google" Inklingo "and go to her site.

Here are the little fabric dolls. One is stuffed to play with
The front of the quiet book
I am still working on my Quiet book for my niece...... Krystyn ..........here are a few pics till I get it done to show you the finish

paper doll FABRIC Quiet book Tutorial

O K...... here's the deal I have been working on ,pondering, punishing myself , just really not knowing where to go with this project I have bought fabric 2 yrs ago for a Dear little quiet book for my niece. I didn't get it done . It was suppose to be for Christmas 2012 (1) because I just wanted it to be cute functional and really special (2) didn't have an extra 40.00 to buy the kit from Keepsake quilting I saw after I had spent close to that in fabric.(3) some health issues and just .I couldnt get into it because of 1 & 2.Finally I thought hmm how about Pinterest......  Geesh should have gone there I guess my brain hasn't been working. .....so I found a cute tutorial on this blog http://thegirlinspired.com/tag/quiet-book/page/2/
I now feel confident to finish this project. Here I have promised my niece  for Christmas ,its almost summer I have  fabric dolls stuffed thinking it  would be cuter to hold a doll instead of just a flat page so anyway might combine the 2 and let her have both to play with.Would be great in church that was my idea for her to take with her.
This page has 4 parts you'll have to go to older post or newer posts to finish this  There are 9 parts altogether . This is so cute !!! I  am  not planning on doing all these steps but several are darling so if you are looking for a quiet book  tutorial then go here and check it out. Here is what I have done and will update you as I go .I have that cute little fabric doll fabric and also the soft pink book fabric Guess I'm a pink and soft floral gal a lot  well look at my sewing room........ PINK PINK PINK (he he he). .... Ok Krystyn, here goes  nothing got my grove up to get your little book done

Lotto & six sisters site

Well I guess from the news around here a 26 yr old man has won the Lotto from publix in Zephur Hills, Florida .He worked at the store. Anyway it is a big life change for sure.
I'd like to help my family all pay off  there houses or buy one.Give them some money to be well off in their lives. I'd  put money in trusts for the grand kids and our children. I'd like to help any friends who were in a hard way.I'd also build our area new animal no kill shelters In Elkhart, Indiana and Warsaw where our home is. I'd donate to the kids with Cancer IMUS ranch in Arizona .It's a great ranch for kids with sickle cell anemia and Cancer.etc. I know a few no kill animal shelters around the nation I'd help. I'm sure I could help some others kids for college etc. .Id sure have some fun helping people and animals. .Id like to travel also. so it would make me feel wonderful to help others.I have always liked to do that and having money would make it so nice to do that.I'd buy a few sewing machines I'd like to have and a new car. I'd have a few nips and tucks also lol.
What would you do if you won the lotto leave a message. OK?????   I'd love to hear your comments.Thanks.
Here is a cute site .I have been looking at Pinterest. It's so neat to see what others do with there houses, talents etc. This is cute....... 6 sisters site. Amazing 6 sisters getting along huh? Anyway check it out. I looked at the enchiladas sounded good to me but is a cute site.

Singer Red Eye 66 & George Jones Funeral & Easy street blocks

Here is my new purchase from here in Ft. Myers Fl. I got this one Saturday night at an auction. No one else was interested .He had 75.00 on the machine. I started at 25.00 he said lets split the difference. So I paid 35.00 I thought well the paint was good ,wheel turned, not a bad price. She needs a case and a foot pedal.... but I don't know if I will go any farther or not with her. I brought her home and cleaned the chrome and greased, oiled and waxed her.She cleaned up nicely!!!!!! I guess I'm starting to be a collector of machines or a hoarder .:) anyway is fun and when I can get them at a cheap price isn't a bad deal.

Here is my new machine a red eye model 66
auction find 35.00
Well tomorrow is George Jones funeral. I wanted to watch it unfortunately we do not have  Direct TV or Dish network. So unless we go to a bar I guess we wont see it.We have been to the Grand Ole Opry. CNN had Whitney Houston's funeral so I guess to me George's funeral is every bit as important as hers. Just my opinion.
I have finished my Easy street blocks and laid them out on the bed .My husband Gene loved it .I'm glad.I don't plan on using it as an everyday bed quilt but will put it on the bed sometimes.I just loved the colors so that was what drew me to make it. Now I'm getting ready to put it together. It is set on point and has bias edges. So my big decision is now do I stay stitch the edges or do a stabilizer to keep it from stretching to much and make it wobbly. Hmm so do any of you have any suggestions? LEAVE ME A COMMENT  PLEASE!!!! THANKS.......... I will call my friend who will be quilting it Sherryl Tobias in Indiana.. She can tell me what she wants as far as making it easy for her to quilt. She was a fellow co-worker of mine .We met working together as Cosmetologists. We both enjoyed sewing and I was just getting into quilts then in the early 90's. So we both do not do hair any more but we belong to the same quilt guild in Goshen , In. She does Long arm quilting.I love the quilt I made for my husband with the Flamingo  Palm tree theme she quilted. Sherryl quilted my quilt beautifully  .... I was very pleased for sure. :) here are the pics I took of the quilt when I laid it out on the bed.

Laminated Tote & Easy Street

Here is a laminated tote to make. If  you sew and like totes then this one is really cute. You use laminated fabric for this one.ITs great for the market or Flea market etc. Here is the link
 http://www.sew4home.com/projects/storage-solutions/mothers-day-fabriccom-farmers-market-laminated-tote?
It sure is hot here in Florida I can handle heat like Las Vegas but this humidity is just to much for me.Its been 90 almost every day and humid .Its the same as cold you cant go out and enjoy it.I see people over at the pool every day and its fine if there is a nice breeze but it isn't for me. the older I get the worse it bothers me and the less I tolerate it. Oh well anyway I like being here in my great sewing room my husband built me here in Florida. Its pink and just fun to finally at 60 to have a functional sewing room.I have 2 sewing areas and lots of storage for fabric  threads books, pattern, crafts also. I have had fun buying a few shabby lamps for my room. I bought them cheap also from to get rid of thrift stores flea markets etc. There are so many thrift stores here and furniture resale shops because of the turn over of people, plus people dying and there families not wanting to deal with all of it so they just pitch it and its cheap to furnish your house here for sure. Well I need to get sewing today and try to get this Easy Street ( from Bonnie Hunter) to the finish line. Just 8 blocks to go and then assemble 25 blocks together. They are 15 in blocks so will be pretty big!!!

cute cord holder !!!! and travel sewing case

 Hi,
Here is a site I ran across and a cute tutorial for a cord holder like your phone. I was thinking sewing cord lol . Oh well shows my age I guess anyway is a cute thing to take with you or just use in a crowded space. I think you can adjust your size for a larger cord , no reason why not. http://thimblemouseandspouse.blogspot.com/2012/08/back-to-school-days-blog-hop-party.html

I have been working away on my Easy street quilt done with the 9 blocks and have made 7 of the 16 blocks .They are going together easier and faster now that I finally got the hang of it.I have all the laundry done and both ShihTzus bathed and trimmed so can just sew now. I am at Texas.I am  junior fan and Tony Stewart as he is a " HOOSIER "like me:). That means from Indiana in case that word is foreign to you.I made a sewing and thread,& needle case.It was a freebie so here is the link for that.
  http://lotsofpinkhere.blogspot.com/2011/09/travel-sewing-kit-tutorial.html
I made my pockets 2 deep on the far end and 2 thread holders .I think I will use it for English paper piecing or embroidery at the docs offices or just traveling so I can keep my projects separate from one another.I used the 2 and 1/2 blocks from MODA .Hmm forget what they are called but cute.42 in a batch.
Unfortunately I lost the  memory card for the camera so have to go buy a new one as I doubt if I will find the old one at this point. So I cannot take a picture to show you right now but will soon. Well going to say bye for now and have a great weekend.!!!!

little eaglets in N. Ft. Myers Fl & My 301 singer

http://dickpritchettrealestate.com/eagle-feed.html
Here is cam for the little eaglets here just down the road from us.Amazing so many people stop to view them each day so take a look!!!! Its so cool to see them and know they are right down the street from us about a mile.its so cool to be able to see them 24/7 anytime !!!!!

I just got the 301 Singer sewing machine cleaned Sunday night .So dirty was greasy and sticky .I am amazed it sews so well.It runs like a top.I clean and oiled it well. It wasn't to bad underneath. Its the top was running brown and  I was quite a while cleaning it. I sewed with it yesterday and sews like a dream .It sews better than my Featherweight actually.  It needs a paint job .I'ts pretty chipped up ,but not going to worry about it now. I'm afraid if I have it painted might not run as well as it does now. I paid 29.99 for it that included the auction fees .Not bad huh!!!!!

link for lots of blocks

Her is a link for a lot of quilt blocks. http://quiltbug.com/free/quilt-blocks-A.htm
they are listed by alphabetical order. They have mystery's also
I saw this and wanted to post it.
I'm  tired but a good tired I have had a lot of pain lately in my back I have degenerative disc disease. I have a great Doctor for pain management down here in Florida. He is Class A.!!!!! He is kind pro-active about my pain management n I feel better. He is Dr.Andrew Gross.I have had steroid shots and am just tired of this approach . I admit it helps but for 4 yrs and the side effects are just to many.Well I had a new procedure. He burned the nerves endings in my lower back. It has worked really well. They do grow back but the pain has pretty much gone.I wake up in the morning with a pep in my step and not wishing I was dead every morning. I can work around the house and get a lot done and feel really good about myself. we had a garage sale and I got it all cleaned up and put away and cleaned up my spare bedroom I haven't been able to work like this for about 6 yrs so I am happy with the results .what is nice I feel good at the end of the day and not just totally exhausted. I am truly blessed to have the right doctors to help me down here in Florida and being able to enjoy the weather..

my sewing room & my new 301

If you haven't seem my sewing room scroll down to the bottom of the page and you can see pics of it there. It is so peaceful and pleasant here.I have the radio and a TV to entertain myself when I'm want music or tv shows.I have a great hubbie and he has done a great job on my room.He put 6-2 plug receptacles in my main sewing area.He even put a light up above with a little fan on the strip lighting. How cool is that huh?
Well I placed an absent bid on a 301 Singer  machine.I won!!!!!!! 29.99 now that's a bargain. It seems to run well but is really greasy dirty and needs to be waxed and buffed for sure. I am in the process of cleaning it a little at a time.I clean the catch pan was really greasy .It needs a new pad so I will order that on Glenn Williams featherweight site.I see they don't go any cheaper than 89.00 on E bay up to 750.00 for a pristine one...... 750,00 is outrageous to me....I cannot take a pic cause Gene forgot to put the camera card back in the camera before he left for Indiana. Its in his computer so will have to wait till after next Wednesday .I just wanted to tell you about my bargain,my new addition ,the big sister 301. I named her Mildred since she is middle size to Fanny Featherweight lol .....Nite all!!!!

I forgot here is a funny picture I got from another blog was really cute. Enjoy Have a great evening

 Debbie

my Featherweight & U-SEW for Sewing Machine repair

I took my Featherweight in to a local repair man .He blew out my motor and re-greased the whole sewing machine. So if in doubt and you accidentally oil your motor instead of  greasing it. stop and take it to someone who knows what they are doing. Is working like a jewel now. If you are local to the area Rick At  U- SEW in N. Ft Myers Fl at 505 Pondella  Rd. It is in a little mini mall across the bridge and just to the left . He is honest and reasonable for fixing machines . He had my machine ready the next day so I am a happy camper. Thanks Rick I also got some oil from him with the long tube to use to oil anything with I oiled 2 doors in the house that squeaked  It worked great .HE-HE HE. I also saw a Singer Genie at U SEW like the one  I bought at a garage sale for 15.00 and he had at 115.00 so I might try to sell it down the line who knows. Fun to get good deals and it is in good working condition. I cleaned it up as it was pretty grungy. It was from the 60-70's .It had the Flower power look  It had the book with it and was pretty dirty to begin with. I oiled it .I have the singer grease so I guess now I should go back and grease it. Here is a  few pictures of it and my 1951 Centennial Featherweight.
Genie- Model No 354

My Centennial  1951

Centennial Badge

Well I am on step one of the Easy Street Mystery by Bonnie Hunter now. I have gotten all the grey an B/W fabric for the first step. I have purples, turquoises and Lime greens. I think I will need more Lime Green but can get that down the line .I pulled out quite a bit from my stash for the  Mystery Quilt .I always enjoy working on a project from Bonnie .She is really a fun gal to learn from . She is so creative .Id like to do another 7 shirt quilt from her patterns. They turn out so cool .It is quite a lot of Prep work but is fun going together so go to Quiltville.com to Bonnie's site and check her  out again.

Tomorrow I go for my Carpal tunnel surgery @ Riverwalk  Surgery Center in Ft. Myers Fl....Dr. Collins is doing the surgery. I am a little nervous as of course not unusual. I hope all goes well . With having Fibromyalgia I had so much pain after my hip surgery they knocked me back out basically .The pain was so bad in my back I didn't even feel my hip actually. I had asked  Doctor Farmer to keep me pain free and he said he would. The problem was Gene my husband had so much trouble keeping me awake after all the pain meds my oxygen level kept falling very low. OMG Gene had to stand by my side fir 4 hrs and keep waking me up .I think they over sedated me but it was a real night mare . If you have Fibromyalgia make sure your Doctor or Surgeon knows so he can help you thru the outcome.

Here is a picture of mine. I'm sorry the light from outside takes over the table but you get an idea and it's engraved not tape or paint pretty cool and the legs are adjustable. and removable .I got the folding one for the 221.They have all  types for different set ups, they are  $ 89.00- 99.00.

picture of extension table

Well as I posted I made a Boo Boo and oiled my motor and not greased. so I wrote to the Feather weight Yahoo group I belong to and asked Graham what to do. I talked my husband a known car nut if he would consider taking apart the little motor and looking at it. Now I need to jump back on and see if I can get Bert's repair manual .so anyway  ...will let you know what happens......

She is just Miss personality plus !!!!! then I have snowman flannel for my 2 yr old.,for a little Quilt-let to hang out in the house and drag around.I have a 12 yr old I'm making a Eleanor Burns ? pattern to make for him in school colors that goes together fast in 6 & 1/2 in pieces.then My niece  Krystyn well been working on it is doll clothes fabric and the little outfits to hang on them .I have made a little folded book so it has pockets to store the dolls in and their outfits.I have seen the kits and just not sure how it is done to tell you the truth .But I have been limping along on that because of not knowing just how I want to finish it . so ......I need to get sewing here and get these projects done.

hummingbird video so cool!!!! Easy Street quilt!!!! Free motion quilting

I found this video of humming birds feeding is so cool. They have them eating out of their hands its in Alaska....  I have fed a squirrel out of my hand. He was a baby and would lay on the fence  top rail and wait for me to come outside and I would get some corn and hold my hand out flat.  He would come up and eat out of my hand .I was never afraid he never charged at me just came up slow and grab a kernel of corn out of my hand was way cool.I love animals and just enjoy interacting with them so much. so check out the humming bird video. I will have to try it when I get back to Indiana.

Son changed life ,Heartwarming story & "The Locator" & Prison Dogs

I hope you enjoy these stories today I do and did:

This is a true story of my life today a happy story you might think this is a bad story I had posted on the top of my page .I am truly a happy person and very thankful today .My Son has gone from being a Meth user badly several years ago I had to do the tough love thing to a great Father and going into college at 37 yrs old
.I had tried to help home at 14 sent him to a Boys school in Kansas because I couldn't control him .I had tried everything  and instead  of sending him to the boys correctional school  I sent him to ST. Francis Boys home a phenomenal place. He got out with a negative release which after 18 months there I hoped he would turn around. Not so he went down hill and I gave away my parental rights of him to someone else when he was  17. All this time his Father chose not to be in his life. Not good .Well he  stopped using Meth 7 yrs ago on his own no help Just slept alot. He now is a father of a beautiful little boy and is very proud. He just sent for his High school transcripts and is going to finish applying for school to become a welder and Certified Mechanic.I had to tell my story today not all the details bits some significant ones so you can see how wonderful today is for me as a Mother. I love you son!!!!!  I am so proud of you  SON and what you are becoming . God has blessed me truly!!!!!!

I am very sentimental person. I love seeing someone helping someone, I love puppies ,and sappy stories. so check this out http://news.yahoo.com/video/nypd-officer-gives-boots-homeless-155857510.html.It is great to see this happen since you only hear bad Police  incidents. This one was a great one and just so sad to see in this country. I wish I had won that 500 Million. I could do so much good.It would be things like this that would make my heart sing!!!! one other thing I would setup help at the animal shelters also so there could be no kill places more and more. Just feeling sad but happy seeing a helping hand.

Since I am on this humble or sappy note today I want everyone to check out the Locator it is on the We channel on Cable .The company is located here in Ft Myers Florida.  This man started this company after helping his Mom find her parents. It helps families find other family members be it Mom, Dad ,sister or brother is a sappy show but is really a fulfilling show to watch for the most part. Once in a while it ends sadly but its a tear jerker and is true stories
 http://www.wetv.com/shows/the-locator
 .
ok the last sappy thing is a true story of a nun who got Dog training introduced in Prisons to help Dogs  that were to be killed and prisoners team up to train the  service dogs to help disabled people get dogs to help the people
here is link to read an article about  Id like to read her biography anyway read this if you love Dogs like me!!!!

Definition of a Quilt Guild

Hi All.
This is a definition of a quilt guild as defined by our Guild President for this year..It might take some time to read but it is inspiring and shows you how much quilting can change your life in many ways. Fern is a Fantastic Quilter and her quilts are just done to Perfection. Our county Fair is one of the largest in the COUNTRY .To win 1st place there is truly an honor and quite a feat to conquer so read this and see how you also can  improve thru participating in your guild and being a Participating  member instead of a person just sitting back and watching!!!1
 I

17) “Definition of a Quilt Guild” – written and read to us by Fern
A collection of people with a common interest, formed for the purpose of fellowship, preservation, and the development of their craft. The fellowship is accomplished by our monthly meetings and other gatherings, where we pass on our skills and techniques to our other members.
I’m sure there are many reasons to join a guild. I did to surround myself with quilters, so I could learn to be a better quilter. I have gotten so much more than that.
I’ve made friends, even one that I think of as my best friend. Along the way I’ve gained confidence, in myself and my quilting. When I look back at my early quilts --- that I though were great at the time --- and then at what I’m doing now, there’s no comparison. Since joining this guild I have had three Best of Show’s, four Sweepstakes, five First Place’s, one Second Place, two Third Place’s, have been featured artist at Yoder Department Store, and selected to do a bed turning event at our Gathering of Quilters. Now I am even able to stand here and speak to you. I didn’t tell you this to boast, but to point out how much I’ve developed as a direct result of participating in the guild and its activities. Not only could I not speak in public, but I wouldn’t holler FIRE if someone else was there to do so. I’ve even gotten my husband to do the laundry and cook so I can quilt!
The very least you get from belonging to a guild is being with other quilters one night a month. Our families may tire of hearing about quilts, but no one here does. That alone can lift your spirits and inspire you. You can also participate in quilt shows, retreats, classes, Sew What nights, and challenges. They get you to do things out of your comfort zone, which helps you grow. I know I wouldn’t have gotten so much out of guild membership if I hadn’t participated. Not I know, no one has time to do all the challenges and programs, but please try to do as many as you can. It will not only help you, but also the person who presented it. While I’m on that, let me add, most programs will not thrill every member here. We are all on different skill levels. If you’re one who is not really interested in the program, please have respect for the one presenting it and the ones who are interested. Please don’t chit-chat. Pass a note if you must. As our membership has grown it has become harder and harder to hear the speaker, or maybe I’ve just gotten older. It’s not easy for some of us to get up and give a program either, and it helps if the others look like they are interested.
We ask for nine volunteers to do programs for this year. Not one volunteered. Elaine said she would do this month, so I didn’t have to start my year as Chair without a program. We all really need to thank her for that. Without her we would have had my husband here teaching us how to disassemble, clean, and reassemble an automatic Colt 45. Trust me, we don’t want that, but if I have to come up with programs for the whole year, we may end up there yet! The hard part --- getting the guild officers --- is done. The rest of you lucked out…for this year. I would like to see some of the newer members do some of the programs also, so we can get to know them better. A guild is only as good as its members, and I believe we are great. Thank you.
